About Me
I paint from impulse, not from an idea. Sometimes I start with a stroke without knowing where it will take me, but I know something inside needs to come out.
I am Fabián Batch, a visual artist from Pergamino, and in my works I try to translate what is not said: memories, silences, traces of time. I work with mixed media, combining papers, fabrics, and acrylic paint. I scrape, paste, cover, discover. Each layer holds a story, as if memory painted itself one on top of the other.
My most recent series, "Retazos" (Fragments), was born from that search: recovering fragments of my childhood and my city, turning the everyday into a trace. I have exhibited in spaces in Buenos Aires, La Boca, Pergamino, and other cities in the country, and each show confirms to me that art is not explained, it is shared.
I paint when I feel there is something to say. And when someone stops in front of a painting and finds something of their own there, I know the cycle is complete.
Welcome to my world, made of color, texture, and memory.
